WalesCymru.com is a new generation community website and an online guide to everything that’s great about Wales. It is a site that will help Wales’ 2.9 million residents, 11 million annual visitors, 150,000 businesses and 125,000 HE&FE students find, review and recommend the things they like, and highlight the ones to avoid. If you live, study, work or play in Wales, or are simply visiting for the day, and have an opinion you want to share this site’s for you.

If you’re in business you’ll understand that word of mouth is the most effective form of publicity. For this reason WalesCymru.com encourages the open sharing of opinions and experiences. To be part of this exchange, we invite owners of any business based in Wales to add or claim your listings, enhance your profile with a description and images, and respond positively to feedback - it’s free and will help promote your business!
Uses Web2.0 technology
WalesCymru.com is built on Web2.0 principles and uses some of the web’s most technically advanced social networking applications including microformats (hcards and hreviews), mashup and mini feeds to deliver content and services. Don’t worrying if this technology is new to you, it’s simply there to make it easy to find and share information and experiences with others.
Ownership
WalesCymru.com is funded, owned, operated and managed by Greg Cannon and represents my first attempt at a community site to use a new set of Web 2.0 technologies and design templates.
